Xiaoming's interview

What is something unexpected you have discovered during your Graduate Programme?

At GSK, I discovered the strong level of support provided to Graduates. I was particularly impressed by the opportunities available for personal development, including dedicated learning budgets, as well as the possibility to connect with other Graduates across different countries. This creates a truly enriching and international experience.

What surprised you the most when you started your Graduate Programme?

What surprised me the most was the level of support and the variety of opportunities available from the very beginning. Being able to access development resources while building a global network of peers made the experience both enriching and reassuring.

How would you describe the team atmosphere you work in?

The atmosphere within my team is collaborative, supportive, and dynamic, with a strong sense of accountability. Everyone works together toward common goals while maintaining a high level of ownership in their respective roles.

How has your Graduate Programme evolved since you started?

At the beginning, I was mainly co-leading projects within the primary production team. As the programme progressed, I took on more ownership within the production planning team, gaining greater responsibility and autonomy in managing tasks and contributing to key activities.

How has this experience shaped your career goals?

This experience has strengthened my interest in supply chain and production planning. I particularly enjoy roles where I can combine analytical thinking with cross-functional collaboration involving product planners, production sites, and finance teams, contributing to efficient and impactful operations.

What advice would you give to future Graduates?

I would encourage future Graduates to be proactive, ask questions, and take ownership early on. Taking initiative from the start is key to accelerating your learning and making the most of the programme.
