To be a successful business and deliver positive health impact at scale, we must meet patients’ needs with research that includes those impacted by the disease under study. We do so by attracting and retaining the best talent regardless of background, and we support all GSK people to thrive.
We believe in the power of an inclusive culture and of differing perspectives and experiences to unlock the full potential of the company. This helps attract and retain outstanding talent, develop innovative solutions, and drive better decision-making, supporting long-term performance and better health outcomes for patients.
Over recent years, we’ve focused on building a high-performing and inclusive organisation, delivering a step-change performance alongside creating a culture where differing perspectives and experiences help to unlock the full potential of the company.
Leading through action

Ambitious for patients: representative clinical studies
Diseases and medicines affect people differently based on ethnicity, sex, race, and age, so our clinical trials must include those impacted by the disease under study. This strengthens our business by ensuring healthcare providers and patients have confidence in our products' safety and effectiveness. To this end, since 2022, all phase III trials have had representation plans in place before enrolment.
Now, we focus on actual enrolment. In 2024, 88% of phase III trials that completed enrolment met thresholds to reflect disease epidemiology.

Building a high-performing, inclusive organisation
In recent years, we’ve made a step-change in performance, driven by an inclusive culture that values diverse perspectives and experiences. This helps attract top talent, foster innovation, and improve decision-making, supporting long-term success and better health outcomes.
We strive to make GSK a workplace where employees feel they belong, can be themselves, and have their perspectives valued. Our employee survey measures inclusion, covering feelings of belonging, authenticity, and support for high performance. In 2024, engagement was strong at 81% favourable. Employee Resource Groups also play a key role in fostering our inclusive culture.

Fostering fairness & equity
We are committed to equal employment opportunity, non-discrimination and merit-based decision making in the way we recruit manage and develop our people.
Fair and equal pay practices are crucial to create an environment where people feel welcome, valued, included and supported to thrive. We conduct country-based reviews and ensure all markets have clear guidance, tools and support to ensure pay fairness. If unexplained differences are detected, we address them through our compensation processes.
GSK is a company where everyone can be themselves, and where diversity is embraced and celebrated. We each hold ourselves accountable for ensuring that respect and inclusivity are at the very heart of our culture as a company.
Employees driving change

Our Employee Resource Groups
Our Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) run events, workshops and initiatives where everyone is welcome to learn, contribute and feel connected. ERG membership and events are open to all employees.
Our ERGs include: Women’s Leadership Initiative (WLI), Spectrum (LGBTQIA+), Disability Confidence Network (DCN), EMBRACE, Mosaic, Asia EMBRACE, Crece, and FUSION.

GSK’s Global Diversity Councils
We're supported by the great work our Gender, LGBTQIA+, Global Ethnicity and Disability Councils provide. Each council is chaired by members of the GSK Leadership Team and includes senior leaders from across the company as well as representatives from our Employee Resource Groups.
